Alana and Ben’s joyous wedding at Wente Vineyards in Livermore was a beautiful blend of tradition and modern love. Alana’s beautiful ivory vintage dress has quite a story:it was Alana’ grandmother, Elaine Wolf’s dress from 1949. She is no longer with us, but the dress was also worn by her mother, Susan and Aunt Deborah. How meaningful it must have been for them to see Alana shine in it. Ben’s expression was priceless when they shared their “first look.” Earlier on in the day, Ben helped assemble the chuppah with friends, which he made from scratch! The ceremony celebrated the couple’s Jewish heritage with timeless traditions and personal vows. During the outdoor reception on the terrace lawn, we had the great fortune of catching an amazing sunset for more couples portraits. We snuck away to the hills overlooking the acres of green vineyards and captured some beautiful moments. The evening dancing was non-stop with guests dancing the hora and partying throughout the warm evening. From Alana, “Ben I met on JDate, an online Jewish dating service. We met for our first date at a coffee shop in Berkeley and we had an amazing connection. We love to hike all around the bay area on the weekends, ski, and travel as much as we can. Our travel bucket list is VERY long! We had a fantastic trip to Asia for our honeymoon, covering Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. The wedding itself was absolutely magical. I remember looking out with Ben at all our guests as we said our personal vows. After the ceremony, we were in blissful shock and it was incredible to have all of our families with us to celebrate! I loved the Persian tradition of playing a specific song, while the guests throw flower petals at the bride and groom. I wore my grandmother’s wedding dress, which was worn by my mother and aunt as well. Ben also built our Chuppah or wedding arch, from scratch! It turned out perfectly.” Congratulations to Alana and Ben!
