San Francisco Bay Area Headshot Photographer

Professional Headshots in the San Francisco Bay Area

When searching for a San Francisco Bay Area headshot photographer, consider if you are looking for a traditional headshot or a lifestyle branding session. I love offering both options to clients in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, and beyond. I work with clients to create approachable yet polished headshots for small and large companies. In addition to individuals, I partner with companies in tech, legal, finance, architecture, real estate, health care, public relations, and the arts to create compelling and unique professional headshots.

Whether your project is big or small, professional headshots are essential to define your professional message. Headshot photo sessions can be conducted at your place of business or at an iconic San Francisco Bay Area location. My goal as a professional headshot photographer is to provide a relaxed, fun, and professional environment where the resulting headshots from our photoshoot will bring out the very best in you, your team, and your company. With my background in photojournalism, I am able to use a variety of locations to tell your unique story. We may use the city as a backdrop or a hustling office to show a vibrant workplace environment.

My mission is to capture a sincere unique look, catering to the needs of each individual. This can be a corporate headshot, an actor/actress headshot for film or theater, a professional headshot for social media, (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), an updated headshot for online dating (Tinder, Match.com, Bumble, OKCupid, etc.,) and so on. In headshot photography, these sessions are often called “Personal Branding Sessions” because an excellent headshot will become your personal brand. Especially in San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley, it’s important to select a professional headshot photographer like myself who can cater to each session to get the exact shot you need.

The Traditional Headshot

Traditional corporate headshots are typically done with a neutral background and special lighting so that the pure focus is on the subject. You will choose whether an indoor or outdoor setting best represents your business. Some businesses opt for a relaxed casual vibe sitting at a desk, or in a nice park setting. More traditional corporations often choose a studio backdrop or conference room. In either situation, in this style of business portrait, you will be looking into the camera for a truly engaged photo.

Groups and teams for a corporation are relatively similar. Team pictures at conferences, for realtors, law firms, etc. are usually done at the place of business. I will work with my clients to create a professional wardrobe color and style palette for a finished look.

The Branding Portrait Session

If you are an entrepreneur, realtor, coach, architect, speaker, author, etc, gone are the days when all you need is one simple headshot. You are the face of your business and need to stand out from your competition. Your website, social media feeds, and email marketing all demand compelling visual content. That’s a lot! That’s where my branding portrait sessions come to the rescue.

During a Branding Photo Session, we will create a gallery of portraits that help your ideal client understand what makes you unique. While shopping around, consumers are curious about your energy, vibe, and approach. Professional photos that tell the story of what you offer help you connect quickly to potential clients. Through the use of your brand’s colors and aesthetic, we choose locations and wardrobes that make these portraits uniquely yours.

A Library of Photos Just for You

The result of your Branding Photo Session will be your very own stock photo library. Have you ever seen cheesy stock generic photos that you know anyone could buy online? They are hard to relate to. Your pictures are created and curated JUST for you. They will build trust with your audience and let them get a taste of what they can expect.

Depending on your type of business, you might want to visit various locations for your photo shoot and consider a variety of wardrobe options. The colors of your brand and website are also taken into consideration when we are choosing and planning the elements of your photo session. For example, a realtor may benefit from portraits of her in the various neighborhoods she represents, possibly at a coffee shop or interacting with merchants. Also included might be photos of her at work at the office or showing an open house.

I’m showcasing an inspired Branding Photo Session I did with a wonderful Palm Springs health coach, Leka Fineman. Using various locations, we communicated her approach to a joyful, healthy lifestyle which includes clean eating, meditation, and exercise. These photos were perfect for her to build her website, create marketing campaigns, use on social media, and more.

A Great Investment

Everyone knows just how image-driven marketing is today. The demand for visual content has never been higher. Creative, professional photography looks fantastic across digital channels like social media, websites, and all sorts of visual campaigns. Whether you’re in San Francisco, San Jose, Marin, Walnut Creek, or the greater Silicon Valley, I make the experience, stress-free, casual, and empowering.

Take a look at some more reasons to update your business headshots here:

~Everyone judges others based on profile pictures, be it Facebook, casting or dating sites. You know you do it and other people will do it for you, so make sure you set yourself up to be liked before you ever walk into the room.

~You may not in fact always look your “best,” but a professional headshot photo will because part of what a professional headshot photographer, like myself, will put you at ease and bring out the very best in your personality and eyes. That’s literally my job.

~Hair and clothing styles change quickly, and so do you. Old headshots make you look dated. Just don’t do that to yourself! Respect where you’re at and go for photographs that show it.

If you are looking for a headshot in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, or Silicon Valley to tell the story of your business, I’d love for you to reach out! Perfect for start-ups, corporations, entrepreneurs. real estate agents, coaches, and businesses of all kinds.
