Proposal Photo Session-San Francisco

This was my first time EVER photographing a proposal photo session! Warren called me with his request with the calmest demeanor possible. He loved Iris and wanted to surprise her with a ring before she went to Asia on a holiday trip. I don’t remember the last time I was so nervous. What was wrong with me? I photograph highly emotional events on a monthly basis, but a proposal? AHHH! Warren’s reassuring mood gave me confidence and of course I agreed. We met at San Francisco Internationl Airport where he was preparing. The ring was placed in a funny coal sack, it being close to Christmas. Warren had a small speaker system to broadcast their favorite song and a set of questions on white boards he was going to display. I hid behind some plant and started sweating. Then….action! Warren gave me the thumbs up and started the song.  She entered with bustling fellow travelers but was stopped in her tracks when she realized what was happening. Her reaction was priceless. A crowd quickly formed , cellphones recording the big moment. She said yes. What an adorable couple, and what a romantic groom you are, Warren! Thanks for this memory, I will treasure it always.
