Brooke and Johns’ Oceano Hotel and Spa wedding was a coastal celebration of love and family in Half Moon Bay, Ca. Their ceremony took place at Our Lady of The Pillar Catholic Church. Brooke’s veil was perfect for a church and she looked like a royal, for sure. For the portraits, we headed south on highway 1 to the magical cypress tree tunnels at Seal Cove in Moss Beach. What a unique and magical experience! The trunk of the trees offer incredible composition the seclusion was so romantic. After that, we turned to the coast to capture the rugged rocks, creamy sands and blue waves.
The reception was held at and the Oceano Hotel and Spa. This beach hotel has sweeping views and a resort feel. Guests were treated to Hawaiian music and yes, two guest llamas! Brooke’s expression was priceless when she got to meet the two furry creatures. A real gift to her. Guests partied on through the night with with vibrant music and dancing. Congratulations to Brooke and John!
From the couple: “John and I met in college at Boston College but didn’t start dating until we were living in NYC a year after graduation. We dated in NYC for about 3 years until we decided to make the leap and move to SF together! We’ve lived here for about 2.5 years now and couldn’t be happier filling our time with inner-city and outer limits explorations!
We first went to Half Moon Bay after we’d been living in SF together for about 3 months for hot chocolate. We immediately fell in love with the scenery, the salty air, and the mix of ocean landscapes and mountains in the distance. We felt it was the best of the elements: water and land. We chose Oceano Hotel because it was a great location, distance from SF, and its proximity to the beautiful ocean!”
