This wedding at Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley celebrated the union of Erin and Cass. The availability of stunning locations to photograph my couple there was limitless. The ceremony and reception were both held in the rose garden. The mountains behind the vineyards turn a wonderful blue in the evening when the fog rolls in from the Pacific. Carmel Valley is a sublime pastoral river valley nestled into the towering Santa Lucia range, and is one of the finest wine growing regions in California. The hospitality and service are world class at this resortand made Erin and Cass’s big day perfect. From the bride: ” Cass and I met at a wedding in Tuscany and wanted to create a similar feel for our wedding: intimate, casual & romantic. We wanted to have most of the wedding outside so we knew Carmel Valley’s weather would allow that. Once I saw Bernardus’ rose garden and Cass saw the croquet lawn, we were both sold. From the food, to the location, to having all our guests stay on property, Bernardus was the perfect venue.” Venue: Bernardus Lodge, Gown: Marina Morrison in San Francisco, Oscar de la Renta, Floral: Twigery , Cheese wheel cake: Bernardus
