If you are on the hunt for micro wedding ideas, check out this stunning small wedding that took place in the glorious redwoods of Northern California. Boy, has it been a rough year for couples planning their weddings. From date changes to venue swaps, my amazing clients have been so patient and flexible. Case in point is wonderful couple, Andrea and Dan.
Due to the current situation, their original vineyard wedding had to be postponed until next year, but they really wanted to tie the know now. I get it! So they gracefully pivoted their planning instead to creating an intimate family affair in the Santa Cruz mountains. Luckily Dan’s family owned a sweet vacation house in the area and it worked beautifully as the homebase for their redwood grove ceremony.
After getting ready in their quaint cottage, everyone saunter down the road to a pristine redwood grove for the ceremony. No eyes were dry. The towering redwoods were a touchstone for the power of nature and commitment. There was absolutely nothing that seemed to be missing from this momentous occasion. It was heartwarming and perfect.
After the ceremony and plenty of family and couples’ photos we all met outdoors at Pasatiempo Golf Club for an outdoor dinner at the picturesque Hollins House. I have never been there before and boy I was in for a treat. This wedding venue and restaurant were perfectly situated in the mountains with sweeping views of forest and a sliver view of the Monterey Bay. It even had a beautiful swing and a statuesque oak tree. I am so excited that Andrea and Dan had a picture perfect day and it was an honor to be a part of it.
