Welcome to my wedding website and congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting time. I’m so excited that you’ve stopped by to view my work. I have been photographing weddings in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area and Napa Valley for the last two decades. I like to describe my work as emotional, documentary, candid, real and artistic. My name is Christina Hernandez, owner of Nightingale Photography. I specialize in candid, documentary photography that helps you relive your first-look, ceremony, reception and intimate wedding moments for years to come. As Bay Area and Napa Valley photographers will all agree, celebrating your big day walking down the streets of San Francisco, saying "I do" at a breathtaking vineyard or taking in the views of the Golden Gate Bridge for a portrait session, this unique Northern California region is as memorable as it comes and I want to help you capture it. I hope you have a moment as you plan your San Francisco Bay Area or Napa Valley wedding to notice some of my favorite venues I've photographed over the years. From the views of the Pacific from the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, to the classic elegance of the Merchant’s Exchange Julia Morgan Ballroom in downtown San Francisco to the rustic elegance of Calistoga Ranch in the Napa Valley, to the secluded beauty of Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley to the world-class tasting rooms of V. Sattui in St. Helena or the majestic location of the Tiburon Yacht Club and historic Old St. Hilary Church in Marin, enjoying the Golden Gate Club in the Presidio or dancing in the wine caves at Wente, the options are beyond compare. Finding the right wedding venue in the City or Wine Country can be a fun challenge, and Northern California knows how to hold a party like no one else.

It's such a pleasure to be able to tell your love story. Wedding photography is the best photo story I could hope to photograph, the moments, humor, excitement, nervousness and generations of loved ones all in one place. I take great care of my couples, you don't have to worry about posing, lighting and help you find natural and real portraits that celebrate your nuptials. In addition we also offer beautiful Wedding Films. Each one is a cinematic retelling of your day, with a unique and modern style. The benefit of offering both still and video is that we work as a team to tell your story both on the day of the event and in the editing room. I also recommend an engagement session in San Francisco or Napa/Sonoma. You and your fiancé strolling around North Beach, sipping wine in the Yountville or wrapped in a blanket at Baker Beach, is a great way to get comfortable in front of your wedding photographer before you tie the knot. My family, at least my dogs, like to tell me that I'm the best wedding photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area. Of course they might be biased. Still…. I hope you consider me to photograph the day you become husband and wife.
