Stunning Vineyard Wedding | Gina and Jessica

Jessica and Gina’s modern and romantic same-sex wedding was celebrated on August 18, 2018 at Wente Vineyards. The vineyard, known for being “the oldest continuously operating, family-owned winery in the United States” is set in the Wine Country of California, and is a stunning setting for nuptials.

In the days of diversity and acceptance being challenged, it can be difficult to hold on to the things and people that make the world worth facing. In 2014 while training for the AIDS/LifeCycle, a rigorous 545-mile, 7-day ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS, Jess and Gina connected. They talked, they trained, and they supported one another during those long and grueling training days, and nothing could stop the love brewing between them. They realized just how much they had in common, not just in hobbies and television shows, but in actions, in words and in deeds. The commonalities they share were undeniable, and the spark ignited, but in their blossoming love, they knew there would be obstacles and boundaries. Together their hearts would guide them, and their souls would intertwine, and they knew they could face the world as long as they were a team. When the soul breathes each other in and finds it’s shared lifeforce in one another, nothing can stop its union.

The wedding day was nothing short of magical at Wente Vineyards, with all their amazing friends and family by their sides. Jess and Gina enjoyed getting ready in their separate quarters, laughing and talking with their respective parties, and enjoying some bubbly. As the wedding procession began, Myra, the couples adorable dog made her wedding debut as the ring bearer, carrying the rings that signify forever, and was a highlight of the ceremony. Following the adorable pooch, Jess cascaded down the aisle in her perfectly elegant dress towards her soulmate Gina, you could feel the love surrounding them in the rustic venue filled with people that loved them. A fun surprise that Gina pulled-off was holding a “10” sign for how she rates her new wife. The guests went nuts and loved it. The vows portrayed the deep connection these two have with each other, and they turned and walked back down the aisle, hand in hand, as Mrs. and Mrs. Jurva.

The reception was set outside in the vineyard, perfect weather, lights twinkling above, and everyone dancing under the stars. There was delicious food, great company, and many memories being made. Jess and Gina have found that a life worth facing, means facing it together. They are stunningly beautiful, and their friends can be heard describing them as kind, generous, and strong. They have defied the odds, and in this union, we wish them the happiest of years, and all the love in the world. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
