I never tire of making images of couples getting married at San Francisco City Hall. The building is classically opulent and offers phenomenal opportunities for stunning pictures. The natural, dramatic light is a photographer’s dream and look great in both black and white and color. I often love to play with vintage color tones in my post-production. Erin and Regan live in New York City and their families live in Hawaii, so San Francisco served as a perfect meeting ground for their big day. In front of their closest friends and family members they sealed the deal. My favorite parts of the experience? My bride going through the metal detector, of course! Always hilarious and a great memory. We also get to use the bustling urban streets as our portrait studio. Those casual, photojournalistic scenes in the big city will maintain their freshness for decades to come. And who doesn’t love brides and taxi cabs? This couple was game for running around town to several great spots for portraits, creating a wonderful set of images to tell the story of their day. The wedding party continued their celebration at the French restaurant, Boulevard, where they enjoyed an intimate dinner with their favorite people. Make sure to check out Schone Design, from Brooklyn, who created her unique dress. Congratulations to Erin and Regan!
