Oakland Engagement Session | Andi and Bryan

Andi and Bryan’s Oakland engagement session took us on a wonderful tour of my fair city. We began at their favorite bar, Kona Club, on Piedmont Ave. They love hanging out at this kitschy spot and play pool. What a find this place was! Tiki statues and bamboo, it felt like being at Disneyland’s Enchanted Tiki Room. Next, We headed to the hills for the views from Grizzly Peak. Andi and Bryan brought their gorgeous motorcycle, as it plays a big part in their relationship. The evening was beautiful and the vistas were sweeping. It was a blast to make images of them on the winding hills at Tilden Park, enjoying our rich East Bay gems. Our last location was the jewel of Oakland, Lake Merritt. It was actually my first time photographing a portrait session there! Hard to believe and it certainly won’t be my last. I love the light dancing off the water and buildings with the twinkling necklace of lights behind them. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding!
